ravi shah

Well, after ... what Ravi, about 6 times asking when you are available for lunch? ..... we finally meet.  I have been trying to meet with Ravi since we started talking back in December of 2006 because of Active Rain. But with the holidays, then my move to a new company back on January 21st, and a few other things, we finally did meet.  I did invite him out to meet Rob Robinson and myself back in mid March for the tip off of March madness. But Ravi was busy. So everyone, Ravi Shah and I met for lunch yesterday at http://www.duoitalianbistro.com/ here in downtown Haddonfield, New Jersey.

Duo Italian Bistro

A very nice quaint restaurant with very good food. We just had sandwiches for lunch, which were good, but they have a very good dinner menu. Even one of the owners, David Murray, was so kind to ask how we were doing. A very friendly, family type of atmosphere.

Ravi Shah

So, who is Ravi Shah? Grew up in Delran, New Jersey. He and his wife actually bought the house that he grew up in from his mother. He has enjoyed it because they have put a lot of sweat and elbow grease into this home and have seen it taking a new shape and form. He lives their with his wife, 3 yr old daughter, and his 4 1/2 yr old son.

I enjoyed speaking to Ravi because he seems to have a love for real estate even though he has been doing this since June of '06. He has been doing it part-time since 2002. He graduated from DREXEL UNIVERSITY here in Philadelphia,Pa. He graduated with a degree in Engineering and actually went on to work for Lockheed Martin. It's truly amazing how so many of us have found the real estate profession, bringing diverse backgrounds into this business.

What Ravi brings to AR and to real estate is his dedication to his community and the surrounding areas. He spends a lot of time writing blogs about his hometown of Delran and giving advice on how to sell your home. Here are two examples.

Now, in regards to his picture that I took while in the restaurant. It doesn't do as much justice for Ravi because of the lighting in the background. But it might also have been because of his humble and kind demeanor, that when I sprung this on him in regards to taking his picture, he seemed just a tad shy. But he couldn't say no to someone twice his size.  ;o)

Seriously though, even though I seemed to have done much of the talking, it was because I wanted him to get to know more about myself and I how I handle business. And since I would love to work with some of his clients, I wanted him to see me outside of AR. Again, even though I took over at times, I actually enjoyed my time with him. We actually spent about 2 hours in the restaurant. Ravi, thanks for your time again, I did enjoy it.

It is so cool to meet up with people from here.  I met up with Aaron Auxier for coffee today :)

He taught me some insider info about the Summerlin area.  While he is a fellow agent, I felt complete value in meeting up with him!  He definitely knows his high rise stuff about Las Vegas!

Glad y'all had fun!

Hey Jeff - yes it was great to finally catch up with you!  It was nice to get over to Haddonfield too...I've been shopping over there once in a while, but never actually stopped into any of the restaurants.  Hopefully it doesn't take us another 6 tries to do it again!
