I have a great deal of things to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season. The year has been very challenging in the real estate market. We've seen a great deal of changes and upheavel.
I am grateful for the safe return of my son SPC Ryan Slattery from Iraq. I am thankful for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we at home can be safe from potential threats. I am also thankful that we live in this great country of the United States of America where we remain free and are safe within our borders.
I am thankful for my family. I have a wonderful family. My daughter Kristen is a student at Baltimore City Community College, my son Ryan is a soldier with the 82nd Airborne and my youngest son Liam is a great student here in Lutherville. All my children are healthy and well adjusted.
I am also thankful for a wonderful fiance, Skip Roper who has accepted my family into his heart and cares for them as if they were his own. I am also thankful that Skip puts up with the challenges of a real estate career and helps in ways he can. Skip takes great pictures of my listings and makes them look wonderful in pictures, fixes my computer when it needs fixing and keeps my office technology in good working order. Skip also puts up with my other passion, quilting!!
I am thankful for being part of a great organization at Advance Realty Anne Arundel. I have wonderful agents and great support staff. Nuria is the best admin support person and truly cares about the others in the office and keeps up with everything that is going on in their lives. We have a wonderful family at Advance that supports not just the agents but welcomes their spouses and family at all events and activities. I am thankful for all the great times we have together and how everyone has supported our company through a challenging market.
I am thankful for great clients who have bought and sold their homes during this challenging market. The clients who have trusted me and Advance Realty with probably the biggest single purchase that they will make.
I am thankful for the great service providers who have persevered through this difficult time in the real estate industry.
And, I am thankful for my friends who have been patient while I take this phone call, who have remained my friend despite cancelling the lunch because a client had to see a house and the friends who have picked up my son from school, waited while I was late getting to them and just been there for me through thick and thin. I'm also thankful for my friends in ActiveRain land who comment on my blogs and who have become great friends through this social networking venue.
What are you thankful for?
June Piper-Brandon, Broker - Advance Realty Anne Arundel
