Clients, that I choose to work with, are special and unique and many times their home is just as special and unique.

Received 8/11/2016
To my dear old house,
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this letter to you, although I know it is time.
As you know, I haven’t been spending as much time with you over the last few years.
You know that I have gotten married since I bought you 15 years ago, you were with us when we got engaged. That was a special night, and there is nowhere else I would have rather received my marriage proposal than there within your sturdy walls.
Well, my husband also has a house. The unfortunate reality is that we can’t continue to keep you both. I just can’t take care of you the way I used to and you don’t deserve that.
The location of his house just makes better sense for us for many reasons at this point in our lives. It gives us the opportunity to be equidistant to both our families and to be together full time, which is why we got married, right?
Please believe it’s not because of you and please don’t think I am giving up on you. I have so many fond memories of times we have had with you; enjoying the birds, evenings on the covered front porch, coffee on the patio, sitting by the fire pit listening to the crickets, holidays and family gatherings, gently warming our bones in front of the wood stove in winter, and of course the seven years we had our beloved Duke there with us, including the night he took his last breath.
You have sheltered me through many storms, some from Mother Nature, some from life, and I am so grateful to you for that. I had a vision for you, a dream that I could restore you to your younger self and I have accomplished a lot of what needed to be done and think you look beautiful.
But now, I need to find someone else who will care about you as much as I do and make you look like the special house you are, on the inside and out.
We have found someone who we really believe will help us accomplish that, you met her this week. She had lots of good things to say about you, I am proud of you.
Please bear that in mind as you receive lots of visitors over the upcoming weeks.
No matter how long it takes, I promise we will leave you in good hands.
Signed,
Your grateful homeowner since 2001
