Our market area new construction was going great in the mid 2000's, with excavators, carpenters, roofers and the like putting up new homes galore! And then the faucet essentially turned off as the economy drifted south. A few new homes here and there, but with prices falling putting up new no longer made sense for many builders and buyers.
