When they said it would drop to the 20's the other night here in Southern Florida Tristan got all excited. The forecast was for snow flurries early in the morning but that was if the clouds would come to Wellington from the eastern shore. Tristan did not want to go to sleep. He fought it all night until about 2 a.m. when he finally crashed! 
Well, it did snow in Daytona Beach Florida but not here in Wellington Florida. Too bad. Just the other day Tristan was whining to me that he wants to go and play in the snow and asking why it does not snow here in Florida. We thought that through his wanting it may just come true for a couple of minutes! But there was not a cloud in the sky in the morning, nothing came from the east so no snow flurry!
Then again last night my daughter watched the weather and this time they said it might snow in Loxahatchee which is about 5 minutes away. I could jump in the car and bring Tristan to the snow! But again, it did not happen!
Of course snow is not good for our state's citrus crops so in actually it was for the greater good that it did not snow but that does not suffice the mind of a 5 year old! Here is a photo of the snow in Tampa in 1977.
Now the cold front has moved on and we are back to warm weather. This cold front lasted for 3 days. We went out walking wearing jackets, it was quite chilly, like 48%! That is cold for our part of the state. We are all bundled up and the snowbirds staying for the winter are looking at us like we are some looney tunes because we are freezing and they are warm! It was fun while it lasted!
