Top Pumpkin Patches Around Austin
Its fall and time for hayrides, corn maizes and pumpkins! There are so many places to shop for pumpkins and snap some wonderful Kodak moments for the family. Please check out my favorite pumpkin patches around Austin!
Barton Hill Farms
Weekends from September 24 – November 13, 2016, this farm in Bastrop will hold a Fall Festival & Corn Maize where the kids can get lost in a 5-acre corn maize, play in a frontier fort or climb on the giant shipwrecked sandbox.
Elgin Christmas Tree Farm
The farm will be open every day beginning on October 4, 2016 for October Fall Fun. For $7 (for ages 2 & up), you get access to a hayride, animals to visit, maizes, mini pumpkin decorating, playgrounds, picnic areas, pumpkin photo ops and hay jumps. Open House on Monday, October 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Their Pumpkin Festival will take place on the 2nd & 3rd weekends in October (on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12 – 5 p.m.).
Evergreen Farms
In the month of October, every Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and every Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. Admission is free for the Pumpkin Hunt.
Sweet Berry Farm
This Marble Falls farm offers the Fall Fun Harvest, open from September 24 – November 6, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., except for Sundays when the hours are 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., and take note that they are CLOSED EVERY WEDNESDAY. There is no admission cost.
The Jersey Barnyard
This Pumpkin Patch in LaGrange is open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 – 6 p.m. From the last weekend in September through October, they will have pumpkins, squash, gourds, decorative corn and corn stalks.
Robinson Family Farm
This family owned farm in Temple has a Pumpkin Patch with activities and special events such as a corn maize, hay rides, arts & crafts, animals to visit (such as baby goats). And you can be sure to pick out just the right pumpkin for your family. Open through October 30 on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. No admission or parking fee, but activities require the purchase of either tickets or a wristband.
Crowe’s Nest Farm
This farm, located in Manor, offers four Fall Family Fun Days this year: October 8, 15, 22, & 29! In addition to pumpkins, there will be lots of local vendors selling everything from fresh organic produce, eggs, honey, jam, and bread, to a variety of hand-made crafts, plus lots of special events, like raptor shows, snake lessons, a corn and potato cannon booth, and much more. Admission to the farm is $9 per adult, $7 for kids ages 3-12, $3 for 2-year-olds, and free for children under 2.
Red Barn Garden Center
Their pumpkins are available starting October 1 at this Austin location. Their annual Pumpkin Festival is a free event that will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
