Today, September 14, 2015 FHA's new Handbook 4000.1 goes into effect, and with it significant guideline changes.  There are to many significant change to include in one blog, so over the next couple of weeks I will be posting several blog covering these guideline changes by category.  The first significant change I will cover is the New FHA Change In Calculating Borrower Debt.

fha changes: Even With Recent Changes FHA Mortgages Will Still fulfill A Need - 04/08/13 05:38 PM
I have been critical of FHA for several months now because of changes that FHA has been making over the past year, and will continue to make that are having a negative impact on Borrowers.  The changes that FHA has been making has made Conventional Mortgages a much more attractive Loan Product once again, and the Loan Product that most Borrowers are likely to do in the future.  However, Even With Recent Changes FHA Mortgages Will Still Fulfill A Need, especially for Borrowers that do not have sufficient income on their own, and require a Co-Borrower on the mortgage.

fha changes: New FHA Proposed Changes Are Now A Reality - 02/05/13 05:51 PM
I was hoping that FHA would reconsider the proposed changes that they anounced in November, but as many of you know by now that did not happen.  HUD has announced that the two biggest changes that were propose will be implemented in the first half of the year.  Since we now know that the New FHA Proposed Changes Are Now A Reality we are going to have to adapt to them, or focus on other loan programs.
