Looking for property near Red Feather Lakes Colorado, for some buyers is like a gigantic 20,000 acre jigsaw puzzle….
Sometimes buyers don’t know exactly what they are looking for…or they start out in one direction and then switch gears and go completely the opposite way; like looking at cabins and then switching to vacant land.
When we begin adding up the costs of building on that vacant land…sometimes they switch back to cabins- and that’s OK. It’s all a part of the process and my job to help them as much as I can.

Browsing through the Livermore and Red Feather Lakes, CO listings today, I noticed we have a home on the market with a “retractable yawning” (I didn’t know houses got sleepy)

and another home has “large widows to enjoy the view “. Seriously, how large are these widows, do they come with the place?
Will there be enough room for everyone? Do they cook or clean, too?

Glacier View Meadows and Red Feather Lakes, Colorado Weather
Last Friday it snowed and it snowed …and it snowed a lot! “They” say it’s unusual for us to get this much snow in February!
There is something quite peaceful about being snowed in, but after one day of it, it’s great to get out of the house and drive.
So far, my travels have only been up and down the Red Feather Lakes Rd. to the office. It’s a nice drive and I think the land covered in snow and our beautiful cerulean blue skies are so pretty.

Yes, the winter was long...sometimes cold and windy but you can't beat the summer, all the way through Indian Summer in Red Feather Lakes!
This is the time of year when I get bragging rights about the weather but I love Colorado in all four seasons so you could say I'm a little biased! Here's the current weather forecast for this week:

My grandson does not miss anything and doesn't forget anything either.
He wrote down the 800-number so that I could order his special Star Wars Set of Mighty Beanz. He quizzed me afterward to be sure that I had in fact ordered them and he knew exactly which ones should be arriving.
He's been keeping track of the weeks as they tick away...4 to 6 weeks is a long wait!

Growing up in a city, I was taught never talk to strangers, so
Passing people on the streets in Downtown was a silent occurrence, (except for the Hare Krishnas and panhandlers that didn't mind talking to strangers at all in the 60s)
There was seldom any communication or eye contact with other drivers on the streets or highways, either...
Jenny Kotulak's recent post reminded me of a common occurrence in our little Red Feather Lakes area that was new to me when we first moved here.

I was listening to a program on Real Estate Today about Second Homes last week. The tag line for the program and what grabbed my attention was something like:
"If owning one home is great, owning two homes is better"
Maybe that sounds crazy in the current economy, when so many people have lost their only home. Still, a lot of Americans have jobs, savings and dreams about owning a vacation home.

The vacant house "next door" is for sale, a beautiful 4 bedroom cedar sided 3888 sq. foot home. I still think of it as my old neighbor's home, but I don't know the current owners, who are flipping it, at all.
Yesterday evening, when I was driving by I noticed a truck parked in back of the house on our road. There was a gentleman sitting in the passenger seat of the truck and we waved as I drove by.

Glacier View Meadows, is a beautiful mountain subdivision near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado.
Most of the roads within the subdivision are named after mountains in Colorado, and 28 of those roads are named after "Fourteeners".
A "Fourteener" is a Mountain whose peak is over 14,000 feet in elevation. In addition to the elevation, the peak must be 300 feet above any saddle which connects it to another nearby mountain. The greatest number of the Nation's "Fourteeners" are in Colorado, however there are higher mountains in Alaska, California and Washington.

Hello Friends, I've been on a little trip to the Western Slope of Colorado. I went with my Mom(79) to see her sister (84) - There was so many beautiful places between here and there - if we had stopped for every photo op -- well, we would still be on our way there!

I have been reading posts this morning about SEO.
Do you get it? I read, but the information just doesn't stick. I know that tech part of my brain just never developed!
I might as well be reading about brain surgery or combustible engines. I don't understand those things either! I don't care how the carburetor works - just please fix it so when I turn the key my car will start. Do cars even have carburetors anymore? How would I know!? LOL!
