Fall Foliage in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Another not so wordless weekday!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Richard Weisser Realty

Fall filiage in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park In mid to late October, the fall foliage colors will peak in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Nearly two million visitors will travel to the Park to experience the most colorful season of the year!

In addition to autumn leaf color, fall is also a great time for wildlife viewing. Visitors are treated to deer, bear and elk in their natural habitats. A lucky few will see wolves, coyotes or bobcats too.

And although the park is crowded, there are still quiet places to get away from all of the hustle and bustle of the myriad of tourists. There are many less traveled trails and nature paths that can bring you face to face with the beauty of creation.

It's my favorite place in the world. It renews my spirit and revitalizes my soul!

Richard, fall is amazing, I have to say it is my favorite time of year. I even like the fact that the days are shorter, makes daylight precious. When I am driving around here it is like a symphony to my eyes.A good classical CD, the brisk air pricking at my senses, ahh.. heaven!  Sometimes I just can't believe how beautiful it is, how the colors just fill my soul to the brim and I find myself smiling, gawking, slowing down and even pulling over to just sit and stare at such majesty in nature. So, where is the poem that goes with these photos? Fall deserves a poem!

Richard... Awesome. I was in Tillamook, Cannon Beach, and Seaside Oregon last Thursday Friday, driving from Seattle. The fall colors here are just a hint but on their way... And the mornings, yep, smelling fall in the air! We had squash night before last to celebrate...

Richard, I am just back from a trip to Cape Breton Isalnd on the East Coast of Canada.  Saw the colors changing there and decided each fall I need to go to see the fall colors.  I miss it in Florida!  Golf and some fall colors, what could be better.  Your area is at the top o' the list! :-) Beautiful pictures. "The mountains are calling and I must go"  is my favorite quote from John Muir.  For many nears we visited my aunt at Maggie Valley around the end of October for her birthday.  Every year about that time I feel the call of the mountains and have to make at least a day trip to Western NC.

The Smokies are so beautiful.  Glad you get to live in such a pretty area and enjoy it.  I love the fall colors as well and really like the Smokies and New England around this time of the year.  Too bad winter has to come right after it.
