Patricia,
Cool shot. It is amazing what you can find when you look up...
Ann Hayden in Wildwood, MO
Pat, a beautiful building, very pretty through the orange leaves and dark branches in the foreground!
Pat, You do live in an archtectural wonderland! Thank you for sharing that!
Pat,
Very nice. Like the tree (I guess that's what it is) is the foreground that adds color. :)

Patricia- Great photo, great color, great angle. I would love to read a post written by you about the history of Georgetown. Katerina
We have a Georgetown community in the Seattle area as well. Much more industrial and no where near as interesting. Love old architecture. The work they put into these older buildings is amazing.
Patricia, Cool shot! When I am in the mid west or older larger towns out east, I love taking pictures of the spires of some of the old Cathedrals. Nice shot... Helping you live your American dream...
Lovely- at first I thought it was going to be the National Cathedral! I will have to check this out later this month when I am down for a visit
Patricia...great picture. I look seeing the photos here on different parts on the US!!
Pat - that is a truly beautiful shot that you captured! I love the architecture and YOUR area is RICH with historic artchitecture!
Patricia - Another great picture, very beautiful building, thank you for sharing!
Something else for me to see when I am in DC next time - thanks for sharing!
Hi Pat. My father was the registrar at Georgetown University for over twenty years. He used to take me their as a boy when he would go to work. I think I disappointed him when I decided to go to college at the University of MD. Oh well, I wanted to get a degree in piano and Georgetown University didn't have a music program at the time.
It's a little sad today (for those of us who remember the view) that much of the original buildings can not be seen from the Virginia side of the river any more because of the new buildings that block the view. I know the adminstration struggled with that many years ago when making the decisions to expand the college.
