My owner is a Realtor for Century 21 Award in San Diego's Mission Valley

San Diego TrolleyMission Valley is located in a highly desirable central location so that a 30-minute drive (or less) to the north, south, east, or west will take you to many of the attractions that make San Diego one of the nation's top tourist destinations.

What if you don't want to drive, though?

You're lucky because from Mission Valley you have access to a great regional rail and bus system.

Depending on exactly where you live in Mission Valley, you can catch one of the many San Diego Trolley stations located throughout Mission Valley. From east to west, stations in Mission Valley are:

  • Qualcomm StadiumGrantville
  • Mission San Diego
  • Qualcomm Stadium
  • Fenton Parkway
  • Rio Vista
  • Mission Valley Center
  • Hazard Center
  • Fashion Valley Transit Center
  • Morena/Linda Vista

An all-day pass on the San Diego Trolley currently is just $5. You can ride wherever you want, as long as you want, get on and off as many times as you want. The pass expires at midnight on the issue date.

You might find that you enjoy riding the Trolley as much as I do, and if that's the case, there are multiple-ride passes, monthly passes, and annual passes available.

San Diego Trolley stations in Mission Valley

Payment of fares is on the honor system, but there are Trolley enforcement officers who ride the trains on a surprise basis, and after having seen a few people get caught without a ticket, trust me, you don't want to go there.

For information on the San Diego Trolley, including hours of operation, fares, stations, service alerts, and more, visit the San Diego Trolley web site.

Happy riding!

Jim,

We've taken the trolley a number of times. We've actually taken it down to Tijuana. It's a great way to get around.

Interesting system, do the trains go to all the major spots in town or are they made more for the locals, so they can avoid taking their car to work?

I love riding the trolley! I once upon a time had a free yearly pass to ride the trolley where ever, when ever I wanted. My late husband used to work for the trolley so every year we got a free pass! Gosh I miss those days! I guess $5 isn't bad for a day.....free was better though! I look forward to seeing America's Finest City through your eyes!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!

If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

Hey, Sara - Thanks. I chose the pictures and the font but my marketing guru actually put everything together for me.

Hey, Jane - One has to be photogenic to be filmed. LOL

Hey, Liz - Thanks. I'm looking forward to do it, especially since I have so many pictures.

Hey, Debi - I wish I could take the Trolley even more than I do.

Hey, Steve - The last time I went to Tijuana was in 1978 when I turned 18. I'm not interested in anything near the borders because the drug trafficking and gang wars are too much.

Hey, Tony and Darcy - Thanks.

Hey, George and Arlene - The Trolley, Amtrak, Coaster, Sprinter, and Metrolink go everywhere except the beaches and the airport. I consider that a major failure.

Hey, Rob - Thanks.

Hey, Silvia - My husband got me addicted to the trains.

Hey, Matt - You didn't have a little green kitty for St. Patrick's Day? LOL

Hey, Stephanie - There aren't too many things better than free! Chocolate comes close, though.
