Kent, Connecticut, living and playing in beautiful Kent, CT.

Kent BullsI love to go to Kent, CT. Take a drive up Route 7 North from New Milford, it will take you right into the heart of Kent, CT. Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Berkshires, Kent, CT is a place you shouldn't miss! But first, don't forget to stop and check out the covered bridge over the Housatonic River at Bulls Bridge. Stop and take a bit of a stroll through the paths above the Housatonic River or just sit and enjoy the view! And if you are hungry, try one of my favorite restaurants in the area, Bulls Bridge Inn. (My favorite meal is to ask for their crab cake appetizers as an entree, and hit their salad bar, the best I have ever had!)

Bulls Bridge, Kent, CTDowntown Kent, CT is wonderful. Filled with boutique shops, you will find that special one-of-a-kind gift, or something special for yourself to remember your trip by. One of my favorite shops is Foreign Cargo The Gallery Upstairs. I am always fascinated by what I find there, and so is anyone who is the recipient of a gift purchased there! There are many more shops in Kent, this is just my favorite. If you go there, I am sure you will have a hard time choosing your favorite place!

The famous Kent Film Festival happens right here, April 22-April 25, 2010, as well as the Litchfield Jazz Festival. The Kent Art Association is alive and well, walking through town you can't help but notice how important art is to this small community.

Andrea I have been to Kent several times and I love that little town.  I have never eaten at the Bull Bridge Inn, but I will have to try it the next time I am up there.  They use to have a great little ice cream shop but it was gone the last time I was there.

Joan, thank you. If you come down Rt. 7 you should! And there are quite a few B&B's to stay at.

George, the only problem is they are not open for lunch, but they open at 5pm. I love it there, my favorite spot. And great ambiance too.

Hi again, I forgot to mention to you andrea that on my life's to do list is to buy a summer home near Yale. I love that place. The rare book library is so amazing. Have you ever been there? I think it should be designated a national treasure because it sure does contain quite a few of them.

Hi Andrea - Covered bridges are not something we see often around here - so when I see one, I love it - even if it's a photo of one.  The last photo is absolutely spectacular - A fabulous shot. What a beautiful part of the country....
