It starts with pressure behind the eye. Then there is a certain amount of twitching as the abnormal discomfort shifts to the frontal lobe.
It is a migraine headache. It is absolutely debilitating. And it will not soon go away.
In years past I have been able to avoid the worst kinds of headaches by taking proactive measures. At the first sign of pressure, I would take a beta-blocker such as Inderal (Propranolol) that would divert the worst part of the headache.
Over the years, the headaches became more and more infrequent and so I no longer have an arsenal of therapeutic medicines at my immediate disposal. I let my guard down so I fear that I will have to deal with this episode the old fashioned way:
Ride it out.
And so if my grammar is poor and my message is confusing please forgive me.
I am not myself today.
