I'm trying to get back into the habit of blogging, after having to take some time off to be available for family needs. I thought I'd look through old posts for ideas, and came across a few that could use some updating.
I'll start with, Moving to Denver - Insider Info. This post is basically a transcript of an onlline conversation between myself and an un-named gentleman. Most of what I said in there is still true, but I did come up with a couple of things I'd like to update.
First - the Conoco Phillips facility that I mentioned was coming to Lafayette, Colorado. That was big news when it was announced and was supposed to bring a lot of jobs into the area. People were even trying to snap up a few houses, figuring prices would go up when those newly arrived workers need a place to live.
But then reports were heard that the facility opening date was being pushed out, and then nothing for a long time. So I emailed Conoco Phillips today, to see if I could get an update. I'll update this post if I hear back from them.
Properties with an acre and a view in Arvada, Broomfield, Evergreen, and Golden. I've often meant to write a blog post on this specific issue, or at least on the availability of views. So that's next: CO Homes with a View: Arvada, Broomfield, Evergreen, Golden.
Pretty much everything else in that, my first post ever, is still valid. Good to know I didn't embarass myself!

Gardeners might enjoy my posts about gardening in Denver to Boulder’s front range.
I write posts on real estate issues and local events in the Denver metro area, especially those communities between Denver and Boulder, as a public service. My hope is to give people an idea of the ‘flavor’ of our community, in case they’re new or moving to the Denver area.
I am a residential real estate agent, happily helping folks buy a house or sell a house in the beautiful and friendly suburbs northwest of Denver.
