Cash for Halloween Candy --- Cody Dental - Denver

Halloween Candy

You have a bowl of candy left after Halloween --- what do you do with it?    I know, just eat it!   BUT, if you want to turn those potential calories into extra dollars, Cody Dental has made a plea for your extra candy.

For every pound of candy given to Cody Dental, they will pay you $1 for each pound!      You are saving your teeth and possibly extra pounds!   Halloween Candy

Cody Dental will send this candy overseas to our troops overseas to enjoy.     Will you participate?

There are two locations in the Denver Metro area participating ---

4301 E. Amherst Ave., Denver, CO    80222    303-758-5858

20971 E. Smoky Hill Road, Ste 200, Aurora, CO   80015    303-617-3333

The hours you can bring the candy to their office  - Monday-Thursday 7am to 5pm and Friday 7am to 12pm

I actually heard about this on the news!  Not sure if it's the same dentist office, but what a neat little way to cut down on all that sugar temptation for those kids (assuming they can be coaxed by money). haha!

That's a great idea, Joan, although those M&M's look good to me.

Hi Joan -

This is an outstanding idea!  The troops will be thrilled.  They run the weight off and have good dental coverage... LOL.  Great post.

Best regards from the Q

Cathy, we don't have many kids in our neighborhood anymore, and have not handed candy in years.

Belinda, too funny!     Thought this was a great idea for that leftover candy!

Eileen, it is better not to be addicted to candy!

Ginny, I am sure there are dentists doing this all over, and nice to see our troops with benefit!

Hi Joan - This is a great idea! Halloween begins that big slide downhill (and I don't mean skiing)! Anything we can do to stave off those extra pounds will help -- and what a great thing to do with the extra candy.

Hi Joan, that's a great marketing idea and support to our troops at the same time.  And "Cash for Candy" is a lot less filling as well!  Pun intended... :-)

Joan, I absolutely LOVE this wonderful idea that Cody Dental has for sharing the Halloween spirit with our troops and at the same time, it could be a valuable lesson in "paying it forward" for children to sell their Halloween candy for a good cause. :)

How clever of Cody Dental! We always had candy well into the new year! No reason to waste it AND we can teach the children about doing something for others! Great idea!

Hi Joan,

This is a wonderful cause and I wish I was in Denver.  I am going to see if anyone around here is doing this. I heard about it somewhere on TV or radio? Want a great place to send it too; our troops.

Remember your dentists in the area you live when you have leftover candy.      If you donate it (and get $1 per pound), our troops so far away will benefit and make their day!    Happy Halloween!
