37 Comments on Bonita Beach Dog Park - The Beach Where Dogs are the Boss
Chris, the Bonita Beach Dog Park sounds like a great opportunity to get your dog some beach time. Nice Localism Post!
I wonder what a dog is thinking as they fro-lick in the sand and water? I mean do they enjoy it like we do?
Wow...a special kind of dog park, in a natural setting. Looks fun for all....does it require to arrive by boat ?
This looks like a really great place ~ and not just for the dogs. This is a real treat for them.
What a great do park - can I be jealous? Nah. . . wouldn't help, but sure sounds special! :)
Hello Chris ...
Congrats on the feature from The Gods ... and your post has also been featured at one of my favorite groups at AR ...

What a great dog park! Looks like everyone was having a great time :)
Hi Larry - Your Bernese Mountain Dog would love the beach, even though it is not a high altitude!
Hi Sue - You have never seen such a happy group of dogs! No fighting, just frolicking!
Hi Kathy - The people were having fun . . . But the dogs stole the show!
Hi Carmela - Every town needs to have a little space go to the dogs!
Hi Tom - Forgotten? Hardly. We were looked at strangely for NOT having a dog in tow (until we fussed over all of the dogs!).
Hi Rosalie - Have you thought about a dog skating rink? Can you imagine the fun!?
Hi John - Colorado certainly understands! Time for Delaware and Maryland to get on the dog sled!
Hi Michael - Thanks! I bet every one of those dogs had a wonderful night's sleep last night!
Hi Richie - I think they enjoy it more! I didn't see any sticking a paw in and saying "oh! it's colder than I thought!" They just jumped in and out at will.
Hi Joye - No boat necessary, but certainly welcome (as is clear from the photos). There is a nice parking area and then a wide path leading back.
Hi Sandy - These days it is so hard for dogs to find a place to take their humans. It is great that Southwest Florida provides them with so many opportunities.
Hi Joy - Don't be jealous; just grab your favorite dog and head to Southwest Florida!
Hi Vegas Bob - THANKS SO MUCH for the feature in Express with Photographs at ActiveRain--one of my favorite groups!
Hi Gwen - They were having a fabulous time (as were we!).
Chris:
I'll bet you love living in Florida? What a change from your previous location, but I guess many Northerns migrate to Florida eventually. We have two dog parks here and they are always packed with friendly dogs. Every city should have at least one dog park where dogs can socialize with their peers.
Chris - This is a park that definitely looks like it has gone to the dogs.
Hello Chris and you are so very welcome my friend ...
VB ;o)
Chris, we used to have a place on Fort Myers Beach and we would take our dog down to the dog park. She loved it!
Hi Chris,
Bonita Beach looks like fun for dogs and dog owners as well. I think mine might like this beach as they go swimming in my pool but like to stay on the boogie board and not get wet. Ha Ha.
Nice pictures!. It looksmore like a dog area where dogs run in and around the swimming pool. Its seems ike a tourists spot.
