Today is World Cat Day - Give Your Kitty Extra Hugs Today

Ah-ha, now I know why my cat is all about being pat and about purring today. How did he learn about the event?

I had to look at those photos twice, Toni.  The cats pictured are nearly identical to two I had several years ago.  The top one, was a female with the name, "Cleocatra" because of the little dark lines emanating from the corner of her eyes.  The cat in the second photo reminds me of "Sampson" because of his long hair.  Only your "Sampson" is a female with the name of "Sasha."  Sampson and Sasha would have made beautiful children together:-)

Toni, had not heard this --- but DEFINITELY a cat person -- I have two furrballs!

You're a cat lover or a hater.  I'm a hater.....not many animals that I do dislike, but it's cats.  I do think that it's great that others love em.....I'm just not that kinda guy.  God wired me differently...I will say that I do like them on our farm....but at the house....no way!!!!!  Enjoy your day!

Toni, leave it up to you to educate me (still pet-free :)!!) about today, I have to say, I sure do love the sweet photos you posted of your sweet little furballs, makes me want to get one!

Very cool.  I have six to give some extra lovin' to today.  Three girls and three boys.  Never intended to even have one.  But the first two made loving cats easy.

Toni: You're kitties are just gorgeous! Sadly I've lost my two kitties in the last couple of years but I think about them often. My sister's kitties have become my surrogate babies and Sydney and Aimee want to say hi.

Panama "Jack" thinks everyday is cat day! One of my dogs found him in a nearby field. He was about 5 weeks old and covered in fleas!!  That was almost 2 years ago and he is most definitely ruling the house!

I love my kitty every day!  And I agree with you on not saying you "own" a cat..there is a difference between cat owners and cat guardians.

I did not know that and I have four of the little furballs. What would life be without them? 

That is so cool.  I have 2 fur balls and one is jumping up to cuddle right now.

I had no idea there was a National Cat Day. I'm a very recent convert. (just this week, as a matter of fact, when I had to babysit 2.)
