They Just Look Like Jailbirds Jailcats!

Ohio Alleycat Resource rescue cats for adoption

This furry trio may look like hardcase inmates, but it would be tough to find three sweeter dispositioned inmates!  They're just a little handful each, and really outgoing!  They're our most recent edition of foster kittens, paying us a visit for a few weeks for some socialization and a little growth prior to heading to O.A.R. (Ohio Alleycat Resource) to find their new forever homes!  They get frequent playtime out in The Yard aka our bedroom!  They love the feather toy, bell balls and all the other things kittens seem to love!

So before we know it, Dolly, Dottie and Dana will be packing up their kitten bags and visiting Petsmart and other local adoption events until they find a new home!

Our last visitors Clyde and Clarence both found new homes within a couple of weeks of becoming adoption eligible.

O.A.R. is already pushing 200 cats adopted out this year, and thousands more have come through for a little nip & tuck (and we're not talking Botox or nose jobs if you get our drift!).

O.A.R.totally rocks as a non-profit, no kill cat shelter!  O.A.R. is always busy & always in need of help. They can always use donations of cash, cat food, litter, your time, you name it!  You can find out more about O.A.R. by visiting www.OhioAlleycat.org.

Paying It Forward,
Liz and Bill aka BLiz

BLiz: It is a wonderful thing that O.A.R. does by getting cuties like these 3 ready for adoption...love that they are no-kill too!

Anita, They're always at capacity too.  As quick as a cat finds a new home, there will be a line of them waiting to get in.

I am not really a cat person but I love this idea of a no-kill shelter and placing the kittens in foster homes. Whoever came up with this idea, knew what they were doing. Too bad more shelters don't use this concept.

I want a kitten, but I have two cats that aren't liking the prospects of that idea.

Tammie, Some area shelters do, some don't.  These folks helped us out when we exceeded our home's capacity and adopted three kittens out for us.  This is part of our way of helping out.

Jason, We keep the little ones segregated in the master bedroom away from the other permanent residents, so no hassling each other.  The big cats know they're in there though.

Brenda, Your area pet organizations will love that!

Tammy, It's hard for me to believe sometimes how we've transitioned from dogs to cats like this!

Jennifer, They're eager to play and out at the front of the cage when we're around.  They're got the run of the bedroom this afternoon :)

Beth, Just helping out where we can.  They're fairly low maintenance :)

Hi Liz and Bill, a great thing you are doing as a temporary home for these animals.

Irene, Yes they do need help.  Too many humans don't hold up their end of the bargain, leading to feral cats and overpopulation.  OAR is doing a great job trying to make a dent in the problem locally.

Paul, About 2-3 more weeks and they'll be up for adoption.  Had another round of shots today and they get spayed in a couple of weeks.
