The Cutest House in Wilmette
That You Can Never Buy

I can across this lovely two-story home with a skylight recently while driving through the Cage in Wilmette. Personally, I think the only good snow is found on a ski mountain, otherwise, it's a bit of a pain. However, I can appreciate those who really love the snow:  children. How can one want to deprive them of the fun of building snowmen, forts, tunnels, and two-store mansions.

While not for sale, at any price, I just wanted to remind you that Wilmette and the North Shore have some really unique homes.

Well, someone else likes the snow too, apparently.

Your doggie is super cute Margaret. Here is South Florida we never get snow of course, so doggies and kids have to find their fun at the beach, which is not too bad. :)

Patty - when my husband take walks and we are slogging through the snow, we pretend it's sand and we're walking on the beach

Jennifer - Thank you - glad you liked it!

Ridhi - That house had to take some work, don't you think?

Margaret, now this is a wonderful house.  It might be hard to find comps to price it properly.

Margaret, can you imagine the time the people took to build that?  What fun.  Personally, that's exactly the reason I moved away from the Chicago area - I break out in hives thinking of that white stuff, but it's fun to view in photos.

It looks like they actually made a chimney for a working fireplace?

Alan - if they hurried, before it melts!

Julie - same here - I would much prefer to just look at the photos of snow!

My mom used to build us great igloos when I was a kid.  She would even make ice blocks by cutting regtangles in the snow and pouring water on them to freeze overnight.  Once you got inside it was cozy and warm.

Margaret  Lucky for the internet and blogs.  The old conventional advertising and this one would be off the market.  Thanks for a fun moment and enjoy your day!

Now that is really cool.  That must have taken a wile to build and so glad the dog enjoyed it too.

I love the lookout holes & the ventilated skylite. This last snow was the best for building & snowmen that's for sure.

Margaret -- That is a wonder of construction.  But for it to be two stories, doesn't there have to be an internal floor about half way up?  Obviously that couldn't be made of snow, so do tell, how did they do that?
