Buck Head Style in the Suburbs

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage GREC #208281

I saw this bathroom yesterday when I was out showing properties.  It just struck me as very interesting.

There is an expensive intown area of Atlanta that is called Buckhead, but this home was out in the burbs.

Sometimes agents do market homes in the suburbs as having Buckhead style.

Does he go in there and hit the head?

I wonder what a home stager would have to say about this.  I think that the seller was an owner/agent.

It did make my clients and me laugh and allowed us something to remember the home by.

I live in West Virginia in an area with plenty of hunters, so I have seen lots of deer heads on the walls.  But in the bathroom???  Nope, that's a first for me!

Gary, I actually staged a house that had a stuffed deer head in the bathroom.  It was hanging over a urinal.  Fortunately, I was able to persuade the homeowner to "pre-pack" it before the house went on the market.  However, from a stager's point of view, the owner's did a great job of picking a paint color that coordinated with that deer head!

I'm guessing the wife didn't want this in the house at all and the bathroom was the compromise.  (I'm also guessing it was the husband's bathroom!).  Thanks for the chuckle, Tim.

This stager would say, the color of the bathroom is rich and inviting.  We may need to pack some things to prepare for the move

Wow! I am with Marci on this one......remove the head as it may distract buyers from seeing the features of the room.

huh maybe it's a towel rack or doubling as a hallway closet? heh i would personally suggesting removing the head, but if it's not possible, then i guess i will theme the room!

cheers,
