LIFE IS GOOD –
The distance between Flower Mound and Corsicana, TX is long but this evening I discovered it can be really GOOD & SWEET.
When I headed out towards Austin, TX on Sunday morning it was a long tiring road but listening to Mozart, REQUIEM, K626, recorded live in Vienna to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mozart’s death helped pass the time away. I found it to be the perfect prelude to Easter Sunday and I reminisced about attending a Mozart Birthday Party Concerto at Bates, College in Lewiston, Maine back in the late 1980’s
In my opinion, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the most gifted musicians that ever lived and I love the great piano concertos. But something happened on my way back home and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! I kept passing signs that advertised the COLLIN STREET BAKERY. I decided it would be a good place to stop, just for a cup of coffee; however, when I pulled in front of the building, my tired eyes just about popped out of their sockets!
COLLIN STREET BAKERY
Established 1896
I was immediately impressed with its pristine condition, including open space, cleanliness, unique décor, unusual bakery goods and other products for sale. Many customers were enjoying their space, using iPads and there was a good amount of distance between each customer for relaxing privacy. In my opinion, this was better than a road side rest station or your typical coffee shop. On my table was the history about COLLIN STREET BAKERY.
I love to travel and I enjoy history. I learned several notable clients of COLLIN STREET BAKERY included:
Monaco’s Princess Caroline, daughter of Princess Grace,
Vanna White
President Reagan
President Carter
President Clinton
President Bush
What makes this store even more exceptional is that COLLIN STREET BAKERY is the largest organic operation in the world! They ship their baked goods all over the world, including Presidential Pastry Desserts from the White House. You can purchase the White House Pumpkin Cake for $41.95 plus shipping. The next time you're traveling between Austin and DFW I hope you'll stop at the COLLIN STREET BAKERY and I think you'll find it as attractive as I did. I was drawn to its charm. For me, it was the perfect OASIS! I also liked the fact that they stand behind their products with an unconditional guarantee of complete satisfaction. In sum, I love to travel, to learn something new and today I discovered that the distance between two points can be sweet and good - now isn't LIFE GOOD!
