Lake Tahoe with Laura Allen is non-stop FUN!
I have visited Lake Tahoe in the past... I have been to the casinos, stayed in a cabin, trudged through the snow, and dipped my toes in the cold lake. I have visited friends and sat on their sunny dock and played golf, but seeing Lake Tahoe through Laura Allen's eyes is a new experience!
Laura highlights the incredible events that make visiting and living in Lake Tahoe so much FUN! She writes about farmers markets, grape stomping, bluesdays, outdoor movies- on the beach or in the pines, free music concerts in Northshore, or Squaw Valley, or on Commons Beach.
Laura knows where to go and what to do in North Lake Tahoe Events - August 2013 , and she posts so many FUN events that I really want to go to Tahoe every weekend! For such a small community they pack in all kinds of fun things to do!
During a 2 week period at the end of August-first of September... you could enjoy wine festivals, beer festivals, arts & crafts, or wine-beer- & music at the Peaks & Paws Festival.
Laura also shares local favorites like Speedboat Beach, Kings Beach, California ... she describes the sand like powder, with huge boulders, shallow warmer waters... perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking or just floating. Even though it is a public beach, there is little signage, so Laura gives you directions so you can find it and go enjoy it yourself! I can just smell the pines, feel the cool water lapping at my toes, and the warm sun on my skin. Ahhhh.
If you want to bring your pooch along, Lake Tahoe is definitely DOG FRIENDLY! Check out this event for you and your best friend Dog Day in the Park – Tahoe Vista, CA Sunday, September 8, 2013 ! I wanted to go... and I don't even have a dog!
I have always thought of Lake Tahoe as one of the most beautiful places on earth... but thanks to Laura Allen, I know it is also a place with loads of FUN things to do!
