Yet another actual photo taken from our local MLS.

ghost in the mirror

LISTING COMMENTS: Gorgeous bathroom medicine chest with the ghost of Christmas Past in the mirror. Must see to appreciate. 2 show is 2 sell.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why listing agents think stuff like this is acceptable OR where they're finding these sellers? If this is one of the best features of the house, I'll pass - and so will the buyer I won't bother sending this listing to!

Alrighty! Did they have nothing better to show of the home? I admit the woodwork is nice, however we are not selling a medicine chest, we are selling a house! Wow....  What was the front MLS photo of the home like? Sky for sale?

Ravi, I see toilet pix in the MLS all the time. Makes you wonder what the listing agents are thinking when they upload stuff like that to their listing.

Lysa, amazingly enough, the front photo looked fine. Nice and crisp and level. I'm still scratching my head over this shot, though...

Lanette,

I think you are minimizing the significance of medicine chests with ghosts of Christmas Past in the mirror.

That is a rare fixture.

As a matter of fact, there is probably someone in California, right now, looking at that listing and thinking "Man, that would make a great conversational piece".

Or, maybe not.

My Bad, Gregory.

I'm stuck in a paradigm and this listing agent is obviously a marketing genius. I'm not even worthy of showing his listing...LOL!

This one is even better than the fireplace with all the Christmas decorations overpowering the mantle!  This agent needs an education not only on photography, but on what people really want to see photos of when looking at houses on the internet.

I actually saw a picture of a cut out section in a wall with a fake dead body hanging from the rafter.  No it was not Halloween and definitely not appropriate!

Oddly enough, before I was a realtor (since hopefully I would have gotten this listing! :) ), I once had a realtor/their photographer take a picture of MY house for the paper when it was my neighbor's house being listed!  I only noticed it since it was on the front page of a local newspaper's "homes" insert.  Crazy!
