Real Estate Continuing Education in Norwalk CT with Dares Institute
My quest for my Continuing Education (CE) courses began with Carl Bulgini, who runs the DARES education program, speaking with me about which courses were the most worthwhile of all given this year. We had a long conversation analyzing all of the different classes, with my complaints about the majority of them being very boring. (At least they sounded boring from the descriptions.)
When we finished discussing this, I had four courses that I was interested in taking. One was about the new mortgage changes, next was a title search class, the next was the mandatory law class we must take, and then finally, Behavorial Financing. To begin with, I had to sign up to take each of these four classes at different locations on different days. A few days later, I received an email telling me that I could take them all at the Doubletree Hotel in Norwalk all on the same day! I signed up.
I enjoyed hearing about all of the changes in the mortgage industry, taught by Carl Bulgini, which was from 8 am until 11 am. The name of that class was Know Before You Go.
The next class was taught by Karen Sweeters. She taught us a lot about the title search process, and the things that can go right and the things that may never be found out .... and where to find things. Very interesting!!
The mid afternoon class was taught by Dave Jones. He covered the Mandatory CT Law class we all need to take across the state. He is an incredibly fun instructor, since he forces full class participation, but not to embarrass anyone. Whew! There is a lot of the law that I think a lot of us are still a little fuzzy on.
Last, but not least, was Carl Bulgini teaching us some about the psychology of finances and of real estate. What drives the buyer to resist so hard in bringing their price of their home down to the "Realistic" price rather than the "Fantasy Land" price? That was also a fun class.
I think I picked four good classes.
