As many of you may know, I'm buried deep in the Certified International Property Specialist class this week. Today is the last day
I took the full week, all five days: it's tough to be in class for a week, but it's sometimes tougher to get all the required classes in under a particular timeframe if you spread them out.
One of the HUGE advantages of taking classes at my local association NEFAR (Northeast Florida Association of Realtors) is for the designation classes, such as this CIPS, breakfast and lunch were included as part of the registration fee.
Aside from being convenient (it's tough to get in, eat, and back on a 30 minute lunch break), it offers extended networking, and shows the creativity of the staff in choosing menus.
So, what did we have? Since it's an international class, we had Chicken Marsala for lunch one day, yesterday was That takeout, today is pizza. There was a networking function Monday night, with other CIPS professionals with beverages and fruit, cheese and veggie platters.
If you have not taken a class outside of your association yet, I highly recommend taking a class at NEFAR - you will leave with new friendships, increased education, and have an awesome experience overall.
