ASK AN AMBASSADOR:  How Do I Know If My Post Was Reblogged?

Okay, bonus Ask An Ambassador post from us this week!  With all the tinkering on the Active Rain body work, some things we used to know where to look for went POOF.  The badges we earned that were under our comment photos, gone.  The gold star on a featured post, see ya later (at least for now, rumor has it that it may return).

And the reblog dots in the upper right of the post....buh-bye...wait, they're NOT gone, they just changed!

So where did they go?  Head to the bar just below the footer on your post, the one with Subscribe to Comments, Bookmark, etc.

If you've been reblogged it won't look like that bar above because on the far right you'll have another symbol like thus:

That little recirculating arrow icon will have a number beside it for the number of times you've been reblogged.  Click that icon and the section will expand and provide you the names and date/times of your reblog like you see in the bottom half of the picture.

Alternate method 2 for knowing if you've been reblogged:  go to your My Home page, then click Points on the left side.  You get 25 points for being reblogged, so you'll see an entry that looks like the following:

If you click the link it will take you to the reblog.

As far as reblog etiquette, if the reblogger has left comments turned on, we like to thank them for the reblog. 

As far as reblogging itself, you'll find rebloggers that disable comments because they want commenters to go to the original author.  Other rebloggers leave comments wide open to start a new conversation, and that's more than appropriate, especially if their reblog intro adds new information or views on the original post.

And for those wondering, you can reblog posts up to 10 times a week for 25 points per reblog.  For those that get reblogged, there's no point cap, you'll make 25 points each time someone thinks your post is reblog worthy!
