The Wedge in Newport Beach
This photo was taken the day before the waves got really huge at the Wedge in Newport Beach as a result of Hurricane Marie.
The surfer got a great ride on this wave.
The waves are expected to be big again this weekend as a result of Tropical Storm Norbert, but they are not expected to be as large as last week!

Oh my, that's an impressive wave! 'Would love to live in a place where I could sit on the beach and watch the waves... maybe after we move to Delaware, since we'll only be about 1/2 hour to the Atlantic. Probably won't see anything this big, but we'll see a lot more than we do in Crofton. LOL.

Great picture! I love the huge waves, in the old days, I'd be body surfing in Emerald Bay, but I'm too old/smart now.
Sharon, this would have been to cool to see, and that surfer sure was taking some risks.
