When I first heard that Sacramento is finally getting our iBox upgrades to the new bluetooth devices, I was really stoked, until I got the details. I had been waiting since last year for MetroList to make the announcement that the Supra iBox lockbox exchange was coming. So, naturally, I had to do a little investigative work about how this works and how other MLS systems across the country handled their iBox exchanges. It is painful to say that we in Sacramento are receiving the crappy end of the deal.
I don't know if MetroList cares much about how it is perceived by other people. I recall when Mike Lyon was on the Board of MetroList. I wonder why he's not now . . . oh, yeah, there's that thing.
I read a notice written by another MLS in the Midwest to its members, and it was so polite and kind and warm. We just wanted to give to you a little heads up about what we're doing, why we're doing it, and how it will affect you, and when we know more information, we will gladly pass it along. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being our subscriber.
Not Sacramento MetroList. MetroList writes No, you won't, we don't allow, this is the rule, here is our order, you must, you will, no, no, no, and did we say no enough times? There's little to no compassion, consideration for the audience in much of the correspondence I read by MetroList or maybe that's how they really feel.
Of course, I have a lot more to say about the Supra iBox BT LE exchange through MetroList. Some surprising stuff that I uncovered, which you might find as astonishing as I. If you're planning to exchange your old lockbox for a new iBox, you should first read what the real deal is about it. You can read about it in my personal blog today: Fun Facts About Sacramento SUPRA iBox Exchange for Lockboxes.
