Is Spring Just a Stone's Throw Away???

Just as I started to see the daffodils in Flower Mound a couple of weeks ago, the weather began to shift. I thought surely Spring had arrived. We've had snowy, rain and ice this week and tonight they predict ice rain. I even saw a snowman in my neighbor's yard. Looks like March is coming in like a Lion this year!!!

But my flowers are growing indoors and they are bringing me cheer! I'm glad I collected as many as I could from the local nursery a couple of weeks ago. So far, I can say, it was worth it to save them!

Is spring just a stone's throw away? I don't think so.... But if I can have spring indoors, it makes the days brighter and happier!!!

Christine Donovan - I remember walking down that trail and taking the pictures. Everything seemed so green and beautiful! I need the greenery, sun, and warm weather to get me going!

Unusual weather patterns can be very disruptive to our life and psyche and it seems many communities across the continental US are beset by severe meteorological events this winter season. My assistant told me her daffodils are popping up through the soil though I haven't seen anything yet. I expect to see some signs this week as we get into the 50s. I am eager to see the flowers make their spring debut and hungry for green grass and buds on the trees.
