ActiveRain Is About Lending A Hand
One of the unexpected perks of ActiveRain is the resource network here. It's nothing official, but something we gain over time. We get to know people coast to coast across the entire spectrum of real estate professions. If we have a question, we can get answers, e.g. Eric Boucher recently helped us with an FHA condo certification question.
It's a two way street though, not just take but give also.
If someone has a need for Ohio, we want them to call us first. Perhaps it's a direct referral, or perhaps it means we help select another agent outside of our market area.
Recently we're finding more and more opportunity to help other Rainers, and while technically there's "nothing" in it for us, that's not what the community is about is it?
We've had the opportunity to recommend a couple of Rainer agents in Florida to an agent across the table at a closing to help HIS clients.
We've had two mortgage pros reach out to us recently for an Ohio mortgage pro to help a buyer that needed an Ohio licensed mortgage pro.
Today a co-worker working some commercial deals mentioned a local condo project, so I broached FHA certification and let him know I've got someone who's a subject matter expert when he needs help. And the same co-worker is working a 55+ community in Georgia, and yes, I know a Rainer agent there that would be a perfect fit if they need an agent to help with the project. I've learned a lot from her, so hopefully I can send something back her way.
It's a Pay It Forward based community and we're happy to help.
