Real Estate versus the Stock Market
With the stock market being a sore spot in financial conversations, many families have made decisions to purchase real estate. Properties in the metro Denver area are AVERAGING 10% equity right now, and this has been the case for the last couple of years. Cannot say the same for the stock market.
Many of my past clients have called and started their search for investment properties, some being their first investment purchase. One family wants to add a couple more properties to their real estate portfolio. They have found the rents are high enough to pay for property management, and still make some money. In the last week, I have had two past clients call and start the search for a 2nd home where they could rent it out when they are not using the property themselves.
If you have clients talking about the losses in the stock market -- time to find them investment properties or second homes!
