If you're searching Cincinnati patio homes for sale we expect you'll find us.  Either one or many of our blog posts and web search pages about Cincinnati patio homes.  We make it pretty easy to find information about Cincinnati patio homes for sale, and we do periodic updates on various Cincinnati new construction patio home communities.

And we're happy to provide all that information to the public for free (to you), no strings attached. 

But there is a cost for that information, at least to us.  We've spent literally years learning where Cincinnati patio home communities are located.  Who built them.  Typical prices.  How often they come on the market.  What is and isn't covered by the HOA. Developing a relationship with the builders' reps so that when we need something for a client we can get a quicker response.

And those websites you found?  For the most part they're not free to us.  We're paying monthly hosting fees, paying for software to make the searches easy.  And you don't even want to know how many hours I've invested updating, reworking and otherwise trying to make a great online experience for Cincinnati patio home buyers and sellers.

Obviously we don't do all this as a non-profit charity operation.  We do these things in the hope that when patio home buyers and sellers find our information that they recognize our expertise and decide to hire us to help them.

What we don't do it for, and why we don't even put close to everything we know about patio homes on our websites, is for someone to call us and ask for information that we don't provide on our sites (say details like "EXACTLY which builder is building homes in ________ community and where are they in _____________ community?" ) just so they can take it back to another agent and help that agent get paid based on our years of work.  You might consider it selfish, but we don't.  We work with a purpose.

In our view, you have three choices:

1)  You can use whatever information you can find on our site and hope that you REALLY got the BEST choice without our help (remember, we mentioned we hold information back??)

2)  Expect YOUR agent to develop the expertise you need on patio homes ASAP (did we mention we've spent YEARS developing our expertise?).

3)  Have your agent refer you as a client to us.  It's a win-win, your agent will still get part of a commission check, we get to help you with your patio home needs (and we get paid), and you make sure for a HUGE purchase that you really had the opportunity to make the absolute best choice for your needs.

 

So don't be mad if you have an agent and we won't pour out everything we know.  We're a business, and what we're not telling you is exactly how we best serve those that HIRE us to help them.

Bill your knowledge of Cincinnati Patio Homes is exceptional.  Patio home buyers would be wise to call you and get you on their side to purchase a patio home.  You make some really good points.....buyers listen up.

Conrad, We give away a lot for free, but we're not giving away everything.  We have to be hired for that remaining info.

AB, We love helping patio home buyers and sellers, and it's an increasing large part of our business.  We have another set of buyers signing off on their new construction contract over the weekend, and they knew about where to find what they wanted because of us.

Andrea, We definitely have put a lot of work into understanding the patio home market.

Mimi, We've had to say no to both an agent and a consumer in the past two weeks wanting us to just tell them something  they wanted to know.  We've become intentionally a bit more vague with some of our new construction info because (this has happened more than once) someone calls, we talk about what's available, we explain that it costs nothing extra to work with us, and then they STILL tell the builder's rep they're not working with an agent.  So unfortunately we find ourselves needing to hold back until someone has committed to working with us.

BLiz,  There is the challenge. If we post all that we know it will be misused. Agents will copy it and pretend to be the “expect” when all they did was copy. There is a reason intellectual property is kept secret. Your knowledge and experience does come at the price of hiring you to get it.
