16 Days to Natomas Pending Sale to Bay Area Buyer

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

My real estate practice as a top listing agent in Sacramento is to actively market, in part by also targeting Bay Area buyers and their respective agents. According to an article published last month in the Sacramento Bee, we should see a surge of Bay Area buyers this summer, most likely carrying our Sacramento real estate market. They predict 1/3 of all summer buyers in Sacramento will hail from the Bay Area.

On top of that, according to the Bay Area Council survey, 46% of Bay Area residents said they plan to move out because it is too expensive to buy a home there. You can read more about this story in my personal blog today at this link: 985 Regatta Drive in Sacramento is Now Pending with Bay Area Buyer.

First of all, what Kathy said. And secondly, I'm sure the Bay area buyers find the Sacramento market quite affordable. No wonder they are relocating. When I was in radio, my partner and I once got an offer to host a morning show in San Francisco. We both concluded we couldn't afford to live there - at least in the manner we wanted, so we turned it down.

Kathy Streib This particular neighborhood is sandwiched into new housing developments, which tends to pull up values of nearby homes.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD Yes, I hear you. My husband received a very nice job offer from The San Francisco Chronicle, but when he tried to find a place to rent during the week in the City, the cost for a studio was prohibitive. Sadly, he had to turn down the job, and now he works not in his long-time profession but for the state of California.

Elizabeth, I can see that, San Francisco has become way too expensive, and maybe they won't mind the drive.

Joan Cox We have the Capitol Corrider train that takes about 60 minutes to reach Richmond. Another 30 on the BART and you're downtown San Francisco. Although, I suspect many Bay Area employees work from home, too.
