Sacramento Home Sales in December Could Be Strong

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Yes, my prediction for today is December real estate sales in Sacramento could be much stronger than you might expect.  There is a lot of doom and gloom talk going around, and I see the numbers, too. Sure, interest rates are climbing, sales prices have appreciated, and now we are moving into a more balanced market.

As with every year, I also move my business home base operations to Hawaii. There are not a lot of face-to-face meetings toward the end of the year, so it's easy for me to sell my listings no matter where I am physically located. My phone is attached to my wrist. Makes it very handy when grocery shopping except when Safeway shoppers wonder why I'm talking to my wrist. They shake their heads: those crazy old haole (white people).

I make this prediction for December based on the unusual uptick in showings and offers at the end of November. Quite unexpected. Nice end-of-year momentum. You can read more in my personal blog today, and find out what that thing is in my photo above, at this link: Flurry of Thanksgiving Holiday Sales in Sacramento.

Bob "RealMan" Timm I am astonished that so many people I know from the Midwest have never visited Hawaii. Back in 2008, I had to drag my sister and niece to the islands, but now they are very glad they went and, in fact, could see living in Hawaii, too.

Kathy Streib Well, I can get over rising prices but $4.00 a pound sounds so crazy. Obviously, I would fail miserably on the Price is Right.

The news from the Fed chairman that he wasn't going to be as aggressive in raising interest rates may help make your prediction come true, Elizabeth.
