I love Sundays! It’s the day I review the previous week and think about the next week I’ll be facing. What a fast pace this past week!
Five of 7 days began with a 5:00am workout at the YMCA. This morning was the fifth day on my workout schedule. It was a tough one. I increased all of my weights and fatigued every muscle group that was hit with each routine. Most of it was upper body, but every routine requires strong legs to stabilize, especially when doing reps with 150 pound seated row; the full stack with mid row; 100 pound push for chest press; plus biceps and triceps routines with the cables.
I baked every single day for “three hours” after the gym. My freezer is filled with 2 gallon freezer bags filled with braided rolls, brown sugar and cinnamon swirls with glaze plus two each of cherry, apple and blueberry large turnovers with glaze. I tasted NONE OF IT, but a variety of family members heard through the family vine I was baking. They all tasted and approved, and I sent each home with samples.
We have one family Pre-Christmas get together at Tammy’s house next Sunday; Christmas Eve at my house; and Christmas Dinner at Andy’s house (of Tammy & Andy of The Todaro Team!) I’m baking for all three events.
This week I’ll be shopping for young and older adults. The fun part is done. The toys are wrapped and under my tree. I have 13 “fun” gift card boxes that need to be filled.
“My family tradition” takes place after dinner and after presents have been opened. We all sit at the table again for dessert and SCRATCH TICKETS!! I take photos while they focus and don’t make a sound. You could hear a pin drop on the floor. It’s total silence while each of them are scratching their pile of tickets. There are 12 young and older adults who receive scratch tickets, and it’s amazing “to not hear a sound for several minutes.
