Do you remember a simpler time, when you could go into the bathroom without an electronic device and be perfectly content with conducting your business? Some of us used to have magazines to gain additional knowledge during the time spent just sitting. And now we have social media, angry birds, and youtube videos to help pass the time. An important aspect of time management is using your time effectively...all your time...soooo....
Here Are Some Real Estate Tasks You Can Do While in the Bathroom:
1. Text Messages
How many times a day do you go to the bathroom? Don't answer that, it's rhetorical. Could you commit yourself to sending one text message a day from one of your regular visits? Imagine sending 365 "just checking in" text messages in a year, and how much business that could generate. Challenge yourself to that. Obviously not all 365 texts will lead to a sale, but at least one of them will...and many of them can lead to a referral.
2. Replying to Emails
Most people will instinctively respond to emails the first thing in the morning. It is good to set a time aside specifically for email, and nothing else. What if you could multitask? Spend some time looking through your inbox, and replying to specific messages. Doing it on the throne can clear up your schedule for more important business.
3. Sharing Engaging or Valuable Content on Social Media
There is certainly no official study on the percentage of social media posts that are published from the toilet, because not everybody will admit that they do. The fact is, a good amount of social media consumption will take place in two locations: In the bed right after waking up/before going to bed + On the toilet. Some agents will slip when it comes to social media posting consistency. Well...what if you were to commit to doing one post per day, from the solace of your washroom?
4. Reading Articles
There is so much information on the internet and it can be overwhelming. Ambitious knowledge seekers use their smartphone as a proxy for a magazine. You can use this time learning new skills, brushing up on old ones, or researching more onto particular subjects. Not an expert at Search Engine Optimization? You can read about that in the restroom. Need to find a way to generate more seller leads? Need advice on how to better run an Open House? There are articles for that, and plenty of time can be spent reading those articles.
How about you? Who here uses their toilet as a remote office, and what type of work do you accomplish? Let us know in the comments below!
