Love past clients, they always keep your name front and center and when they hear someone is in need of a REALTOR®, they give you a call.
That is what happened back in 2015! This couple were from England, first time buyers, and foreign buyers at that! They walked into a Richmond Homes new home site and found the home they wanted. It would be a dirt start, and knew nothing about this process. The sales rep told them they probably should have representation, and gave them an agent's name and number. This couple called this agent, but after a couple of days, he never returned their call. BTW, this couple had already written the offer with the builder, but they were saving the REALTOR page until they had someone to represent them! That is a first!!!
This couple called me and said my client raved about my services and WOULD call them back, and I answered the phone when they called. Would be happy to assist them buying their first home in America!
I think that sales rep really believed this couple NEEDED representation, and they did. They had lots of questions along the way, which was fun sharing how this process works. They love their new home, and really only had issues with warranty issues, which I assisted with getting complete. Those repairs usually are not much after closing, but they had about a dozen that took almost a year for the builder to repair.
I sure appreciated this transaction, as it certainly was not one I had in my pipeline! I learned more about life in England, and their background. Welcome to America!
