While making a quick stop at our local grocery store I just happened to notice a new kiosk on my way out of the store. What??? Were my eyes fooling me??? I turned back into the store to check it out further and investigate how it works. Sure enough, anyone can now buy bitcoin while shopping for groceries. Who knew! What do you think I did? Buy some Bitcoin? Or not?

Hi Myrl Jeffcoat bitcoin has had it's ups and downs for sure. Today it's down 200, under 10K. A saw a guy on a biz channel early this am and he's into bitcoin and expects it to go over 20K. I don't buy into it....just not my thing. I'd rather buy gold than bitcoin.

Hi Carol Williams well bitcoin is trading at under 10K (at the moment) which is down a couple hundred. Seems pretty volatile and not widely accepted as a secure investment strategy. But I know just enough to know nothing significant as to how bitcoin applies to our real life. Blockchain is understandable and in fact I can see how valuable it could be to title companies etc in keeping documents secure - secure as possible in today's world that is...

It's interesting listenting to different folks explain bitcoin and why they invest in it Kris Collis ! It's lost about 300 recently and selling for just over 10K. Not something the vast majority would consider buying at a grocery store!!!
I doubt you invested in bitcoin on your shopping trip. I wouldn't have either. The concept of bitcoin is too complicated to easily grasp, wonder why? I know, generally speaking, that it's a web-based bank account ...still...with the volatility, it is too risky.

How ironic you posted this Anna. I was in Vons Grocery Store to use their coin counting machine, which turned out to be the machine in your photo. I have even seen some MLS listings stating that bitcoin is accepted!!

Recently, I was in a hurry and glanced at a sign that was advertising Bitcoin but I didn't stop to investigate or read what it said. I'm pretty sure it was advertising for a lender. I hope I find it again. With the holidays coming up, I think we all need to keep our eyes and ears open for scammers. Although, I don't think the sign you shared is a scam. But you never know! I hope more people reply to your post and we could learn more.
