Wordless Wednesday...Taking a Break

Larry and I were taking a small break from college football last Saturday and took a drive out to The Arbor Gate.  If you love whimsy, you’ll love this place!

While looking at some of the garden statues and sculptures we came across this fellow.  (this one's for you Nina Hollander and Sally K. & David L. Hanson ) Think Tango and Trey would be jealous Brian England?

The arbor gate cat

Who can blame him?  It was a beautiful sunny day with temperatures in the low 70s!

Periods of wholesome laziness, after days of energetic effort, will wonderfully tone up the mind and body. Grenville Kleiser

Cats are wise, as that fellow proves. A "cat nap" in the winter sun is a treat I look forward to on many of my hike days.

HI Kathy,

I can understand why that cat stole your heart! It's a great photo! I love how the fur blends into the concrete where its sleeping. That cat doesn't have a care in the world! Isn't that precious!

Hi Sham Reddy CRS there are days when I'd love to be that cat.

Michael Jacobs felines frolicking in the fall . Fearless they are.

Barbara Todaro I feel the same way. Yesterday we walked in the light rain just to get out and move!!

Ron and Alexandra Seigel I would do the same as Quincy. When I'm not feeling well and feel cold, I will do exactly that.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty hey...none of that! You're in the sunshine state.

Grant Schneider we thought the same thing!!!! Glad I didn't reach to touch it and frighten the poor cat.

Lottie Kendall Larry is more of a napper than I am but once in a while a short nap is what you need.

Brian England oh yes...Tango and Trey are not in sunny AZ anymore!!!

Will Hamm trust me it was a short break and we listened to the games on Sirius radio!!

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP I don't know about your temps but we've had up and down weather. Today was beautiful, cool, and sunny but yesterday was rainy and gray all day.

Kathy Streib - It has been like a yo-yo effect here too! I think our weather patterns are about the same. Did you get the the Blue Alert for Harris County? I received the alert this afternoon... so sad.

I've always been fond of ginger cats.  They just seem to enjoy life a little more than other cats.  But, who wouldn't with sunny 70 degree weather in the middle of winter.

Morning Kathy.

Would love to have temps in the 70's around here.  Yesterday a high of 43º and it was cold.  By Sunday a high of 40º.

Oh, what a purrfect shot, Kathy! I love it!

We've been aclaimating our new fur baby and she's been a bit more challenging than Charlotte was as a kitten. Emma is 6 years old and we're having to 'un-set' some of her habits. It's been a little over a month and she is finally coming around. We had our Humane Society charity event at our house last week and she was out and visiting with everyone. It felt like we have made MAJOR progress!! It certainly makes my heart smile!
