Taking My Own Advice
We’re always preaching to others to get help from a professional...whether it’s an agent, stager, doctor, electrician...it doesn’t matter. So when Larry turned 65 and we were setting him up for Medicare, I decided to take my own advice.
The year Larry turned 65 we must have received a letter a day from some insurance plan about enrolling in Plan F and other available plans. At first, I tried looking through them and trying to figure out what plan would be better for us.
I contacted someone who’d been referred to me whose expertise is insurance. I haven’t regretted it for a minute. It’s not that I can’t read an insurance policy but my eyes begin to cross and glaze over with all of the legalese that only a professional insurance agent could know.
Our “angel” has been Jane Finkel a licensed insurance agent at Gwynn, Moore & Associates, Inc. She took the time to look at the best plans for Larry and his particular health needs. We gave her a list of his medications and she found the best prescription plan that would cover his needs.
A few years later when it was my turn, Jane even got on a three-way call with the company that covered my meds to see why a certain rescue inhaler wasn’t being covered.
After our move to Texas, I had to find a new company for my supplemental insurance and once again, Jane came through.
Jane takes the time to explain what I need and why it works.
In today’s world where it seems that no one cares anymore about customer service, it’s so refreshing to know that I can pick up the phone and reach someone who provides the service we hope for.
AND by the way...Jane always calls back immediately if she’s on the line.
If you have questions about your insurance, especially if you’re about to enter the world of Medicare please call Jane. ** They’re licensed in many states so they’re not limited to Florida.
