A Dynamic Introduction From Ken Jones
Dozens* of AR members joined together to learn from Ken Jones at his Podcast presentation on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. And L E A R N we did!
Each week has been better than the last! Thanks again to Debe Maxwell, CRS and the rest who support her and have created a weekly opportunity to learn and share the learning with other AR members.
Ken's informal presentation style combined easy to follow explanations and clearly detailed information. His graphics made it simple to keep up with his explanations of his years of experience as he shared with all of us.
With step-by-step infographics, copyrighted as part of the two-hour class he teaches about podcasting, Ken led us through each of the set-up steps.
He explained that he does not represent any equipment companies and then proceeded to tell us which pieces of equipment he uses and why. When asked what an initial investment for the professional level items he suggested might be, he said $400 but, depending on items chosen, one could spend more!

In addition to the technical information, Ken urged listeners to develop podcasts with "authenticity". He stressed that listeners react to the sincerity heard in the podcaster's voice. He talked about the long-life of podcasts and what a flexible medium it is. No need to sit in one place and watch a video - podcasts travel with the listeners he recounted.
