This Week…Rodeo Time!
When I was younger I wanted to ride one of the Trail Rides that come into Houston the weekend before the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. (the world’s largest event of its kind) I have no idea why because while I have gone camping, it is not my favorite thing to do.

In my heart I am a cowgirl…or am I supposed to say cowperson? Last weekend the 2022 Rodeo Houston BBQ Cookoff kicked everything off!

The Houston Rodeo is more than cookoffs and cattle. There is entertainment (Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Gwen Stefani, and George Strait just to name a few), auctions & sales which benefit the Texas 4-H and FFA, exhibitions, and a horse show.
When in doubt, let your horse do the thinkin’. Cowboy saying.
If you are new to Houston you may have looked twice when you saw trail riders and covered wagons on our city streets. They made their way to Memorial Park in the heart of the city to camp out before their ride into downtown Houston for the parade.
The horse stopped with a jerk—and the jerk fell off! Cowboy saying.
The Rodeo runs through March 20, 2022. Saddle up!
Thankfully, dreams can change. If we'd all stuck with our first dream, the world would be overrun with cowboys and princesses.
