I have not updated my blog post signature since I joined Active Rain in 2011. If it had not been for this challenge sponsored by Craig Daniels and Eileen Burns I would not have done it yet.
My old signature below is was very small, busy, and cluttered. I have become much more focused in my business since 2011 but it was not reflected here.
My new blog signature below is focused on what I do now which leadership and building high performing teams and great workplaces. I list the two main areas where I operate and boldly list my phone number.
I added a frame below to show me at what I do with teams but open to cutting if it is too large.
Thanks to Craig and Eileen for getting us all motivated.
Here are some of my goals for my website. I just spoke with an SEO friend of mine. I have had Google Analytics on my site for some time and I have been blogging on my on site since 2018.
Here is what I discovered. The region that provides me with the most traffic is Ohio. Wow, that was a surprise. I need to look into that. So I am wondering if this ripe ground and a signal that I should be designing more processes to facilitate virtually. After that we found that New York and Florida rank 7th and 10th respectively. That is a concern and I need to do something about that ranking. I do most of my business in the New York metro area and desire to build Florida.
My goal here will be to look at my keywords for local and I would like to do some case studies for New York and Florida to increase SEO engagement in those areas.
My best performing content is "What is Your Leadership Style". That tells me that my niche is working for me. You may have noticed that in the blogs I have written recently. Everything I write such as assessment, having the right people, or having an engaged workplace all supports the niche of Leadership.
Another goal I have for this year is to push my blogs out to Linked In groups. Since I am a B to B consultant, the groups most likely to work for me are restaurant groups, business owner groups, groups on HR and organizational development. I have a Facebook page but I don't get the results I get from Linked In. I have found that I don't get comments on my website blog like we all do in Active Rain. However, I do get comments on Linked In for the content that I link. Not only that but I am converting to clients on Linked In.
I have plenty of work to do on my goals. I will probably engage the SEO consultant who helped me so far.
Craig Daniels if you have any suggestions on my blog signature I would be glad to hear it. Graphic design is not my strength.
