Our son's birthday was at the end of August. For his birthday we took him to Orlando to Seaworld and other happenings around Orlando.

But he also wanted to have a pool party for his friends to come over and play too. The weekend of his birthday was Labor Day weekend so we knew that would not be a good time for a party. Then the whole month of September was shot because of the active hurricanes and rains we had. Nothing like having your birthday party cancelled because of a hurricane warning. I know that well, we have 3 kids born in the month of September!
Finally we found a day to have the party in October. The sun is still warm but we cranked up the pool heater just to make sure it would be comfortable for everyone. Two of Tristan's older brothers came to his party and 2 of his sisters did too. My granddaughter, his niece also was here along with Tristan's friends.
Here is Nestor teaching Aylandra, our granddaughter how to swim. You say to her, "Kick" and she will kick like crazy! It is so cute. I love watching babies learn how to swim. All my kids learned to swim as babies.

Our son is the one in the front being all animated! He has a fantasticly active imagination which I must say if quite impressive.
Tristan picks out his own birthday cake each year and this year he chose this Indiana Jones cake. He does not eat much cake, maybe like 2 bites out of that whole cake! I tried to talk him into cupcakes, but he wanted the Indiana Jones figure and that ball that rolls! Heck, I could have bought that at the store for less than the cake was! But you only turn 6 once in your life so have at it!
Enjoy some more photos of our family fun times together. This is one of the great things about living in Florida, plenty of warm sunshine. Not too cold, not too hot, just right with ocean breezes most of the time.
