We've endured enough cold weather in Austin! We are told it's going to be warmer (let's wait and see) but maybe wet this week-end! Wet is good because we all need rain! How does venturing out this week-end to a "community" type restaurant sound? If you like Italian you'll love this neighborhood Italian restaurant near Mueller Lake Park designed with family in mind. Give it a try, might be just the spot you need to wind down!
L'Oca d'Oro https://www.locadoroaustin.com
L'Oca d'Oro (which translates to The Golden Goose) celebrates community and the simple connections that make a great neighborhood restaurant. They offer gracious hospitality and recreated Italian culinary traditions in a familiar, warm and welcoming setting. Their menu features their interpretations of dishes from Sicily to The Veneto, crafted entirely from ingredients that are sourced within a short distance of the restaurant.
They make their pastas are made from freshly milled grains; most of the their bread, cheese, vinegars and liqueurs are also created in-house. And, wine pairing is available to ensure a totally enjoyable meal. To Chef Fiore Tedesco, Italian cuisine is more than pasta and red sauce; it's subtle flavors with simple preparations and bold textures that are lovingly prepared and meant to be shared.
