Whale Watching in Del Norte County -
The seasonal appearance of gray whales attracts thousands of wildlife enthusiasts to watch these large mammals make their yearly journey from the Bering Sea to Baja California (Mexico). November, December, February, March, April and May are the best months to view the migrating whales through the Crescent City area. Whales are best seen during the early morning hours from an elevated spot close to the shore.
Pebble Beach was The Daily Triplicate's 2007 Readers' Choice favorite place for whale watching.
Klamath Overlook is approximately four miles off US 101 on Requa Road.
Endert's Beach Overlook is approximately three miles off US 101 on Endert's Beach Road and one of our best kept local secrets.
Battery Point is accessible only at low tide from the parking area at the foot of "A" Street in Crescent City.
Brother Jonathan Vista Point is located on Pebble Beach Drive at 9th Street in Crescent City.
Point St. George located about three miles northwest of Crescent City at the west end of Washington Blvd.
Castle Rock, the best location for viewing this island is along Pebble Beach Drive north of the Brother Jonathan Vista Point and south of Point St. George.
I have lived in Del Norte County since 1991. We moved to Del Norte for my husband, Garry, to take a teaching position with Del Nort County Unified School District just after Pelican Bay State Prison was completed. We have five children who have attended almost every school in our district and we have lived in several different neighborhoods. The day our youngest graduated and left for college I dove headlong into real estate and have found it to be a fulfilling and successful career.
Garry and attended Hiouchi Community Fellowship in Crescent City. We have also been lead couple for over 10 Married For Life classes and have been involved in other community minded endeavors, Chamber of Commerce, Community Assistance Network Mentoring Program and I've been an active member of Del Norte Association of REALTORS.

Fran Gatti is awesome!!!!! I started saving for my first home three years ago. I patiently watched the market and during that time I "worked" with other real estate agents. One agent was more than eager to show me property if I found it and called him; he never notified me of any listings. I found another real estate agent who said she would work for me; she emailed me a few listings. When I was not interested in the listings she sent me; she just "disappeared". Enter Fran Gatti. I could not believe how hard she worked for me. She sent me listing after listing and took me to see several properties. They were just not right for me; she did not give up. It took me almost three years to decide to buy a home in Crescent City. In that time I watched the market, compared homes online and figured out which areas would be best for my family.
