To open or not to open. If you are going to do something in real estate, do it because it works, because it fits your style and because you are comfortable with it. The way to do real estate is your way! Or for me the Rome Way. But only as long as it is legal, ethical, honest and in the best interest of the client.

This past Friday morning I listed 2210 Sugarcone Rd located in the Pikesville area of Green Gate 21209.
As soon as it was live in the MLS, I had a Realtor® request for a showing. So I made the appointment and proceeded to have an impromptu open house this same day... but just for an hour. The turnout was good...6 groups came through. The following day, I had another open house. This time 9 different groups came through. Several people expressed interest and emails from buyer's agents alerted me to others who wanted to make an offer. One asked if the owner would pay closing costs, one (19 comments)
Being featured as the Open House Master by Realtor Magazine , I still feel the traditional open house is more beneficial for the agent than for the seller. When I have scheduled showings at one of my listings, I will set up an impromptu open house. That's what we did on Sunday.
