Northeast Phoenix, a family-friendly suburban area of the city, adjoins Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek to the east, Anthem to the north, and Paradise Valley to the south. Residents can easily access the nearby 101 and 51 expressways, as well as Interstate 17.

Besides the famed Desert Ridge, Northeast Phoenix is home to planned communities such as Tramonto, Del Webb/Pulte's Fireside, Sonoran Foothills, D.R.
