Can't Get Enough Holiday Lights? TODAY IS YOUR DAY!
The most popular is the Parade of Lights that is held in downtown Denver which will be held today - Friday November 26th, starting at 6 pm.
This parade will begin at Union Station (17th & Wynkoop), continue for a two miles to the City & County Building in Civic Center Park. Along this Parade route, there will be special events, including a Holiday-themed choir, a Children's Museum craft table, delicious treats provided by LoDo restaurants, a visit by Dinger Claus (the Colorado Rockies Mascot), and much more!
There is currently a window design contest for local business owners, designers and art students in the LoDo area. These entries will be reviewed by a panel of guest judges, and the winners will be chosen based on originality and presentation of the design. These winners will be announced the week of December 14th.
Skyline Park (16th & Arapahoe) will feature nearly 26,000 lights and a 22' Christmas tree and will be choreographed to a variety of holiday songs. The D & F Tower at the center of the park will also feature holiday lights.
16th Street Mall and Curtis Street between 14th & 16th will have more than 400,000 LED lights that will turn Curtis Street into the enchanting Holiday promenade.
Larimer Square and Denver Pavillions will be illuminated with festive lighting on Friday evening (11/26) throughout the Holiday season. There will be unique holiday entertainment and special events taking place during the month of December.
The Parade of Lights will end at the City & County Building, where 1,000 spot lights and 2,000 rope lights will transform the structure into one of the most beautiful and popular holiday lighting displays in Denver.
