La Habra homes for sale include a large number of distressed sales, both bank reposessed homes (aka REO'S) and short sales.City of La Habra

By far the number of short sales available for sale in La Habra far exceeds the numbers of standard sales and bank repos.

In the City of La Habra, in Orange Co. CA as of today 11/1/11 there are 200 ACTIVE listings in our local SoCal Multiple Listing Service, meaning 200 properties for sale including single family homes and condos.

Of those properties curently for sale:

  • 38% are identified in the multiple listing service as "standard sales" meaning non-distressed
  • 16% of the La Habra homes for sale are identified as bank/lender reposessed homes, including both condos and single family.
  • 46% of all properties currently for sale are identified in the multiple listing service as a "short sale" meaning the sellers owes more on the home than the current market value.

Great format on this Lynda. Ii have been posting the REOs by county but I like the way you have captured the percentages here...it tells a more complete story  than the way I have done i.

Our market is heavy on short sales and REOs as well.  We all need to get some of that (supposed) shadow inventory on the market!
